English Canton's new developed wave surround is used with the Reference midrange and woofer systems. This unique, multi-curved wave shape doubles the excursion capabilities and reduces resonance of our midrange and woofers for better frequency response and higher output levels - with lower distortion. In addition to cutting edge technology, the Reference features a modern design, with the finest materials and first-class craftsmanship of the enclosure documenting Canton's perfectionist credentials. Midrange system Bass-Guide® The triple-curved cone membrane of the midrange speaker with its ceramic-tungsten structure represents an optimum design standard. Together with the new, tripled-folded wave surround, it gives extreme rigidity and excellent balance in terms of the swing-in and swing-out behaviour through to the highest frequencies. 32 The perfect isolation of the cabinet from its base and the down­ firing design of the bass reflex port in combination with the new Bass-Guide® make the loudspeaker very versatile when it comes to room placement.
