This is the DSS setting. External Push-to-Talk Jack The external push-to-talk jack is used for remote transmit function with optional PTT (see accessory page 47) and when the external microphone is connected. Note The external speaker should have 8-ohm impedance and be rated to handle at least 4.0 watts. When an external speaker is plugged in, the internal speaker is automatically disconnected. The external microphone jack is used to connect the
supplied external microphone for phone use only.
When the external PTT (above) is connected, the
external microphone can be used for both CB and
phone voice transmissions.
Connect the external microphone (included) to the
external microphone jack on the rear panel.
