English Connecting to a Computer To connect to a computer: 1. Make sure the player is turned off. 2. Connect the small end of the USB mini adapter to the player's USB port. Plug the large end of the adapter into your computer's USB port. It may take your computer several minutes to recognize and set up the device the first time it is connected depending on your hardware configuration. —— Your player will be detected as a "Removable Disk" when you open "My Computer". When the player is connected to a computer's powered USB port, it will draw power over the USB connection. Transferring Music to Your Player Install the included Coby Media Manager (CMM) software, then connect the player to a computer to transfer (sync) music to the player. If you choose not to use CMM, you can still perform basic file management using your computer's operating system commands. Please refer to the documentation included with your operating system for more information (e.g., Microsoft Windows or Macintosh OS X). Do not disconnect the player or otherwise interrupt the file transfer process. Doing so may corrupt your files and/or the player's firmware. Page 7 Getting Started
