Removal and Replacement Procedures ✎ Evo Notebook N400c models only-Models with pointing stick keyboards have a pointing stick button cable that needs to be disconnected prior to removing the palm rest. Perform Steps 12 and 13 before removing the palm rest on a pointing stick model. 12. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector to which the pointing stick button cable is attached 1 and disconnect the pointing stick button cable 2 (Figure 5-10). Figure 5-10. 13. Remove the palm rest and set it aside.
Reverse the above procedure to install the palm rest.
