Motion_QS.book Page 6 Tuesday, June 28, 2005 11:43 AM Enabling Smart Face Tracking With Smart Face Tracking, your camera automatically zooms in on your face during video instant messaging sessions, or when recording video. You can enable Smart Face Tracking in the Face Tracking Utility. You can launch the Face Tracking Utility in the following ways: • In WebCam Center, click Tools → Face Tracking Utility. • Right-click the Creative Cam Detector icon in the System Tray and click the Face Tracking Utility option. • Click Start → Programs → Creative → Creative WebCam Features → Face Tracking Utility. Using the Pan and Tilt feature With the Pan and Tilt feature, you can achieve accurate webcam monitoring. Your webcam is capable of horizontal, vertical and diagonal panning in eight different directions. Read on to start controlling your webcam's positioning directly from your computer. 1. In WebCam Center, make sure Smart Face Tracking is not enabled, and you are not in My Recordings mode. 2. On the video pane, move your mouse toward the direction you want to view. An arrow appears. 3. Click the arrow. Your camera view moves toward the direction indicated by the arrow. 4. To bring the camera view back to its center position, move your mouse toward the center of the video pane, and then click the symbol that appears. Resetting Your Webcam to its Default Position i. Click Start → Settings → Control Panel → Scanners and Cameras, and click the Creative WebCam Live! Motion icon. ii. In the Creative WebCam Live! Motion Properties window that appears, click the General tab, and click the Test Scanner or Camera button. 6
