TROUBLESHOOTING From time to time a problem may arise which is minor in nature, and a service call may not be necessary; use this troubleshooting guide for a possible solution. If the unit continues to operate improperly, call an authorized service depot or Danby's Toll Free Number for assistance. Tel:1-800-26- PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SUGGESTED SOLUTION 1) Freezer does not work. 2) Freezer runs continuously. 3) Internal temperature not cold enough. • No power to unit. • Power cord is unplugged. • Wrong voltage being used. • Check connection of power cord to power supply. • Plug in unit. • Use proper voltage. • Temperature is too high. • Lower temperature control. • Door is not closed. • Close the door. • Hot food inserted into cabinet. • Cool food to room temperature before inserting. • Door opened too long/often. • Minimize door openings/duration. • Close proximity to heat source • Do not place unit close to heat or direct sunlight. source or in direct sunlight. • No power to unit. • Check connection of power cord to power supply. • Power cord is unplugged. • Plug in unit. • Temperature is too low. • Raise temperature control. • Door is not closed. • Close the door. • Hot food inserted into cabinet. • Cool food to room temperature before insterting. • Door opened too long/often. • Minimize door openings/duration. • Air flow obstruction. • Allow room for air to circulate around the unit. • Wrong voltage is being used. • Use proper voltage. • Close proximity to heat source • Do not place unit close to heat or direct sunlight. source or direct sunlight. 5
