Environment and system requirements This section describes the system requirements for MDS NX-OS Release 9.3(1) and includes the following information:  Hardware and software requirements  Software selection and upgrade considerations  Downgrading your Cisco MDS NX-OS software Image Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller Take note that NX-OS 9.3(1) requires the use of Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller 12.0.1 or higher. Note: From 12.0x version, DCNM is renamed to Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC). Note: DCNM 11.x version is not supported by NX-OS 9.3(1) version. Telco 2 post racks Note that the MDS 9718, MDS 9710 and MDS 9706 should not be used in a 2 post Telco rack due to weight considerations. EC-1700 configuration information Configuration information appears in the Connectrix EC-1700 Cabinet Installation and Setup Manual on https://Dell.com/support. Note: Currently, only the MDS 9710 and MDS 9706 are supported in the EC-1700-C cabinet. 8Gb power requirements Even though Cisco director class models may operate at 100 to 240 VAC, in configurations consisting of 8 Gb modules, 200-240 VAC is highly recommended.
