3 Remove the PCIe card. 1 Locate the battery socket, see Jumpers and connectors. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the battery connector, you must firmly support the connector while installing or removing a battery. 2 To eject the battery, press firmly on the edge of the positive side of the battery in the direction of the arrow as shown in the figure. Removing the system battery 1 Install the PCIe card. 2 Complete the procedure listed in After working inside your system. 3 While booting, press F2 to start the System Setup and ensure the battery is operating properly. 4 Enter the correct time and date in the System Setup Time and Date fields. 5 Exit the System Setup. Replace the battery only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. See your safety information for additional details. CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Remove the PCIe card.

Install the PCIe card.

Complete the procedure listed in After working inside your system.

While booting, press F2 to start the System Setup and ensure the battery is operating properly.

Enter the correct time and date in the System Setup
Time

Date
fields.

Exit the System Setup.
