The Dell Storage Update Manager application helps you analyze your current Dell EqualLogic storage configurations to determine which components, if any, can or need to be updated. Using a multistep firmware update wizard, Dell Storage Update Manager guides you and simplifies the update process. It provides an outline of all components that require updating and the estimated time to complete. NOTE: If you are running FS Series firmware prior to version 3.0.0, you must use the command-line interface (CLI) to update the firmware. If you are running a PS Series firmware earlier than version 6.0, you can use either the Group Manager GUI or CLI to update the firmware. User Mapping Panel Table 536. User Mapping Panel Field Description Shortcut Map users automatically Automatically maps all Windows users in Active Directory to the identical UNIX users in Alt+O NIS or LDAP. The default behavior is no automatic mapping. Map users Allows you to define mappings manually. These mappings take precedence over automatic mappings. Alt+P VDS/VSS Access Control List Panel To allow VDS and VSS access to the group, you must create at least one VDS/VSS access control policy that matches the access control credentials you configure on the computer by using Remote Setup Wizard or Auto-Snapshot Manager/Microsoft Edition. The same access control constructs (access policies, access policy groups, and basic access points) are available for defining VDS/VSS access. Table 537. VDS/VSS Access Control List Panel Field Description Access policy groups Access policy groups subpanel Displays all access policy groups in use on this volume.
