Prerequisites 1 Remove the battery. 2 Remove the optical drive. 3 Remove the keyboard. 4 Remove the base cover. Procedure 1 Open the latch, and disconnect the power-button board cable from the system board. 2 Remove the screw (M2.5x8) that secures the display hinge to the palm-rest assembly. 3 Lift the display hinge. 4 Remove the screw (M2x2) that secures the power-button board to the palm- rest assembly. 5 Peel the tape that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly. 57

Procedure
1
Open the latch, and disconnect the power-button board cable from the system
board.

Remove the screw (M2.5x8) that secures the display hinge to the palm-rest
assembly.

Lift the display hinge.

Remove the screw (M2x2) that secures the power-button board to the palm-
rest assembly.
5
Peel the tape that secures the power-button board to the palm-rest assembly.
