Procedure 1 Place the fan on the palm rest and align the screw holes on the fan with the screw holes on the base frame. 2 Replace the screws that secure the fan to the base frame. 3 Route the fan cable through the routing guides and connect it to the system board. 4 Route the display cable through the routing guides and connect it to the system board. 5 Adhere the I/O-board cable to the fan. 6 Slide the I/O-board cable in the connector and press down on the latch to secure the cable. Post-requisites 1 Replace the battery. 2 Replace the base cover. 31

Procedure
1
Place the fan on the palm rest and align the screw holes on the fan with
the screw holes on the base frame.

Replace the screws that secure the fan to the base frame.
3
Route the fan cable through the routing guides and connect it to the
system board.
4
Route the display cable through the routing guides and connect it to the
system board.
5
Adhere the I/O-board cable to the fan.
6
Slide the I/O-board cable in the connector and press down on the latch
to secure the cable.
