System Setup Use the system setup to utility to: • Get information about the hardware installed on your computer, such as the amount of RAM, the size of the hard drive, and so on. • Change the system configuration information. • Set or change a user-selectable option, such as the user password, type of hard drive installed, enabling or disabling base devices, and so on. CAUTION: Changing the settings in System Setup may result in incorrect configuration that can cause your computer to work incorrectly or damage your computer. NOTE: It is recommended that you note the settings in System Setup before you make any changes. Entering System Setup 1 Turn on (or restart) your computer. 2 When the DELL logo is displayed, wait for the F2 prompt to appear and then press immediately. Use the system setup to utility to:

Entering System Setup

Turn on (or restart) your computer.
