NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer). 1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin. 12H 2. Remove the display assembly (see Removing the Display Assembly). 12H NOTE: Ensure the display cable grommets were removed by following the grommet removal instructions provided in Removing the Display Assembly at step 13. 123H 3. Remove the display bezel (see Removing the Display Bezel). 124H 4. Remove hinges. Remove 3 M2.5 x 5-mm screws from each side of the display panel and remove the hinge from each side. CAUTION: To avoid damage to your display panel, handle the panel by the bracket tabs only. 5. Pull the LVDS cable thru the rubber grommet in the LVDS/antenna cable assembly, near the right side hinge. These antenna cables are part of the back cover assembly and must be separated from the LVDS cable to allow removal of the Display Panel. Page 64 of 106 Revision A01

Remove the display assembly (see
Removing the Display Assembly
).
NOTE:
Ensure the display cable grommets were removed by following the grommet removal
instructions provided in
Removing the Display Assembly
at
step 13
.
3.
Remove the display bezel (see
Removing the Display Bezel
).
4.
Remove hinges.
Remove 3 M2.5 x 5-mm screws from each side of the display panel and
remove the hinge from each side.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to your display panel, handle the panel by the bracket tabs
only.
5.
Pull the LVDS cable thru the rubber grommet in the LVDS/antenna cable assembly, near the
right side hinge.
These antenna cables are part of the back cover assembly and must be
separated from the LVDS cable to allow removal of the Display Panel.
