Dell™ PowerConnect™ 2200/2300 Series Ethernet Switches
Introduction
This document describes changes to the technical specifications of the PowerConnect 2200/2300
series Ethernet switches. This information replaces and supercedes that found in the
Dell
PowerConnect 2216/2224/2324 Switches User’s Guide
. Where any differences exist in the
specifications or procedures between the two documents, the information in this document is
more accurate.
Product Specifications
•
PowerConnect 2216
–
Provides 16 ports supporting 10/100Base-T Ethernet.
–
All ports support full- or half-duplex mode and PAUSE frames.
•
PowerConnect 2224
–
Provides 24 ports supporting 10/100Base-T Ethernet.
–
All ports support full- or half-duplex mode and PAUSE frames.
•
PowerConnect 2324
–
Provides 24 ports supporting 10/100Base-T Ethernet and an additional 2 ports supporting
1000Base-T Ethernet.
–
The 10/100Base-T ports support full- or half-duplex mode; the 1000Base-T ports support
full-duplex mode only.
–
The 10/100Base-T ports support PAUSE frames; the 1000Base-T ports do not support
PAUSE frames.
Front-Panel Indicators
1000Base-T Ports Link/Activity (SPD/LNK/ACT) LED (PowerConnect 2324 only)
•
Steady green — A 1000 Mbps link has been established, but no data is being transmitted
or received.
•
Blinking green — A 1000 Mbps link has been established and data is being transmitted
or received.
•
Off — No link has been established.
NOTE:
No link will will be detected if a 10/100Base-T device is connected to a 1000Base-T port (ports 25
and 26) on the PowerConnect 2324 switch.
