Before you begin this procedure, review the safety instructions that came with the system. 1 Align the optical drive's mounting holes with the retaining pins on the hard drive 0 bracket. See Figure 1. 2 Rotate the drive downward until it snaps into place. 3 Connect the SATA data and power cables to the optical drive. 4 Close the system. See "Closing the System" in your Hardware Owner's Manual.

Installing the Optical Drive
CAUTION:
Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system
cover and access any of the components inside the system. Before you begin this
procedure, review the safety instructions that came with the system.

Align the optical drive's mounting holes with the retaining pins
on the hard drive 0 bracket. See Figure 1.

Rotate the drive downward until it snaps into place.
3
Connect the SATA data and power cables to the optical drive.
4
Close the system. See "Closing the System" in your
Hardware Owner’s
Manual
