The R720 can connect to the PowerEdge C410x through a host interface card (HIC) and an iPass cable. Both the NVIDIA® and Dell x16 HIC require one x16 PCIe slot. Each HIC can support up to four GPUs. The R720 can support up to four GPUs maximum. For a list of supported GPU HICs, see Table 18. Some operating systems have not been validated to support GPUs.
