System Board Replacement - Safeguarding Encrypted Data If your system is configured to support the TPM feature, you can use encryption applications to secure the contents of the hard drive(s). NOTE: When you use an encryption program, you are prompted to create a recovery key during system setup. Be sure to store this recovery key. If you replace the system board, you must supply the recovery key when you restart your system before you can access the encrypted files on your hard drive(s). LCD Status Messages Update The following LCD messages listed in the "LCD Status Messages" table in the Hardware Owner's Manual do not apply to your system. • E1A15 SAS Cable B - A SAS cable B is not used on your system. • E122F 2.5V PwrGd - This message applies to a voltage regulator not present on your system. System Messages Update The following system messages are new. Table 1-1. System Messages Update Message Causes Corrective Actions Invalid card found in the LOM mezzanine card slot An unsupported LANon-motherboard (LOM) card was detected in the dedicated LOM mezzanine card slot. Replace the invalid card with a supported LOM card. TPM configuration operation is pending. Press (I) to Ignore or (M) to Modify to allow this change which may reset the system. This message displays during system restart after a TPM configuration command has been entered. User interaction is required to proceed. This is not an error. Select I or M to proceed with the TPM operation. NOTICE: Modifying can prevent security. Ensure that the configuration change is valid. 4 Information Update
