If ferrites are present, there is no need to replace or install new ones. When replacing SCSI cables or power
supplies with ferrites attached, refer to
Adding Ferrites to New SCSI Cables or Power Supply
to open ferrites.
Power Cables – Ferrite Installation
Place one ferrite on each of the power cables that connect to the tape drive (see Figure 1-2).
