Use your fingers and/or a flat blade screwdriver to pry open the ferrites surrounding the power and SCSI cables.
See Figure 1-7 for opening ferrite on power cable and Figure 1-8 for opening ferrites on SCSI cable.
Please make sure the ferrites are placed on your new SCSI cable or power supply.
