Connect the storage system power cable to the power supply and to an electrical outlet. To help safeguard your storage system from power problems, connect the AC power cable to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), line conditioner, or surge protector. If your storage system includes an optional redundant power supply, connect the two power supplies to different circuits, if possible. If this is the first time you have installed the enclosure services expander module, go to step 4. 4. Boot the system with the service tag utility diskette and load the PowerVault 20xS storage system service tag data (see the instructions for the service tag utility diskette). You can use Dell OpenManage HIP x.x to manage the shared PowerVault 20xS storage system in a cluster configuration. Dell recommends that each node use the default attributes. If you change any node attributes on the shared PowerVault 20xS storage system, you must stop and restart the Dell Baseboard agent service on the second node of the cluster configuration.
