CAUTION: To avoid damage to the computer, use only the battery designed for this particular Dell computer. Do not use batteries designed for other Dell computers. Removing the Battery 1 Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 7. 2 Remove the base cover (see "Removing the Base Cover" on page 11). 3 Disconnect the battery cable from the system-board connector. 4 Remove the five screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly. 5 Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly. Removing the Battery

Disconnect the battery cable from the system-board connector.

Remove the five screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.

Lift the battery off the palm-rest assembly.
