DSP surround simulation • To operate the surround mode and surround parameters from the remote control unit. 1 Select the surround mode for the input channel. DOLBY / DTS SURROUND DIRECT DSP SIMULATION 5CH STEREO STEREO (Remote control unit) The surround mode switches in the following order each time the DSP SIMULATION button is pressed: 1MONO MOVIE 1ROCK ARENA 1JAZZ CLUB MATRIX 0 VIDEO GAME 0 VCR 1 7 CD CDR / TAPE CHANNEL 8 9 VCR-2/V.AUX +10 0 TV/VCR A / B 1 3 VOLUME DISC SKIP+ SPEAKER DOLBY / DTS SURROUND DIRECT DSP SIMULATION 5CH STEREO INPUT MODE ANALOG STEREO EXT.IN MASTER VOL. AUDIO DECK CDR/MD CD MUTING AVR/AVC VIDEO TUNING DVD TV VDP VCR SYSTEM SETUP SURROUND PARAMETER BAND MODE MEMORY TITLE MENU/GUIDE CH SELECT ENTER SELECT STATUS ON SCREEN DISPLAY RETURN USE/LEARN T.TONE DVD SET UP 2,4 2 SURROUND PARAMETER MENU/GUIDE Display the surround parameter screen on the monitor. * The screen for the selected surround mode appears. (Remote control unit) 3 Set the parameters. ENGLISH (Remote control unit) 4 SURROUND PARAMETER MENU/GUIDE To end the setting mode, press the surround parameter button again. (Remote control unit) NOTES: • When "Default" is selected, "CINEMA EQ." and "D.COMP." are automatically turned off, "ROOM SIZE" is set to "medium", "EFFECT LEVEL" to "10" and "DELAY TIME" to "30ms". • The "ROOM SIZE" expresses the expansion effect for the different surround modes in terms of the size of the sound field, not the actual size of the listening room. 41
