English 12V/20V Max* Compact Task Light DCL077 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING: When using the light, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: a ) Read all the instructions before using the light. b ) To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when a light is used near children. c ) To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not put light in water or other liquid. Do not place or store light where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. d ) Only use attachments recommended or sold by the manufacturer. e ) Turn the light off when not in use. f ) Do not operate any light after it malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return light to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. g ) Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge. Serious eye injury could result. WARNING: Fire hazard. Do not operate light or charger near flammable liquids or in gaseous or explosive atmospheres. Internal sparks may ignite fumes causing personal injury. Additional Safety Rules for Lights WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, do not place anything on top of the lens during or after operation of the light. CAUTION: Only use light on stable surface. Do not raise above work space/personnel via lifting, hoisting, mounting, or suspension. • Risk of electric shock. Do not expose to rain. Store indoors. • Do not submerge light in any liquid. • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. • Before using battery and light, read all instructions and cautionary markings on area light, charger and battery pack. 2 • Store the light indoors when not in use.
