Know how to stop the product and release pressure quickly. • Stay alert and exercise control. Watch what you are doing and use common sense. Do not operate product when you are tired. Do not rush. • Do not operate the product while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any medication. • Keep the area of operation clear of all persons, particularly small children, and pets. • Don't overreach or stand on unstable support. Keep proper footing and bal- ance at all times. • Follow the maintenance instructions specified in this manual. • This product is provided with a ground fault circuit interrupter built into the power cord plug. If replacement of the plug or cord is needed, use only identical replacement parts. • WARNING: Risk of injection or injury - Do not direct discharge stream at persons. • Turn the switch off and unplug product when unattended or at the end of each use. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER PROTECTION This pressure washer is provided with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) built into the plug of the power supply cord. This device provides additional protection from the risk of electric shock. Should replacement of the plug or cord become necessary, use only identical replacement parts that include GFCI protection. servicing of a double-insulated appliance In a double-insulated product, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-insulated product, nor should a means for grounding be added to the product. Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme care and knowledge of the system, and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double insulated product must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated product is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATION" or "DOUBLE INSULATED." The symbol may also be marked on the product. 6 TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Pressure washer does not start when trigger is depressed 1. Power cord not connected 1. Connect the power cord to a live to power source 120V AC, 60 Hz AC receptacle. 2. Switch is off 2. Turn switch on. 3. GFCI is tripped 3. Press reset button on the GFCI plug. 4. House/shop circuit 4. Reset house/shop breaker. Make breaker is tripped sure pressure washer is connected to an individual branch circuit only. If using an extension cord, make sure it is heavy enough to carry the cur- rent of the pressure washer. Pump doesn't 1. Inadequate water supply produce pressure 2. Spray wand leaks 3. Nozzle is clogged 4. Pump is faulty 5. Air in line 6. Water inlet filter is clogged or dirty 1. Provide adequate water flow. 2. Check connections and / or replace wand. 3. Clean nozzle. 4. Contact authorized service center. 5. Squeeze trigger on spray wand to remove air from line. 6. Remove the water inlet filter, rinse with warm water, then replace in unit. Machine doesn't reach high pressure 1. Diameter of garden hose is too small 2. Water supply is restricted 3. Not enough inlet water 1. Replace with 3/4 in. garden hose. 2. Check garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages. 3. Open water source full force. No detergent 1. Detergent tank is empty 2. Water supply is inad- equate or clogged 3. Wrong nozzle is attached 1. Add additional detergent to tank. 2. Check garden hose for kinks, leaks and blockages. 3. Attach variable spray wand and set to (-) Wand leaks O-ring needs replacing Replace o-ring. If this does not correct the problem, contact your authorized service center to purchase a new wand. 43
