The limitation is more restrictive as the level number decreases. 6 Press SETUP/TV MENU to close the menu screen. Notes: The level of dynamic range reduction may differ, depending on the DVD. Depending on the disc, the unit may not be able to limit playback. Some discs may not be encoded with specific rating level information, even though the disc jacket says "adult." For those discs, the age restriction does not work. After the rating is locked, the setting cannot be changed unless you enter the correct password. To set a new password: 1 Press SETUP/TV MENU in stop mode or with no disc inserted. The DVD menu opens. Parental Password : Off : Change 2 Press or to select the Parental icon , then press or or ENTER. The Parental Control menu opens. 3 Press or to select the Password, then press or ENTER. The Enter Current Password screen opens. Parental : Off Password : Change Enter Current Password 5 Enter your new password using the number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. Your new password has been set. Note: Do not forget your new password. Write it down in a convenient place. If you forget the password, contact Customer Service. The original remote control will be required. Temporarily disabling the rating level Some pre-recorded DVDs may attempt to temporarily cancel the rating level that you have set. You are given the option to allow or not allow the override. To temporarily disable the rating level: 1 Load a DVD. If the DVD has been designed to temporarily cancel the rating level, an option screen opens. Press ENTER to select YES to override the rating, or NO to accept the rating. 2 If you select YES, an Enter Password screen opens. Enter Password 3 Enter your password using the number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. Playback begins if you enter the correct password. Note: This temporary cancellation of the rating level is retained until the disc is ejected, at which time the original rating level will be set again automatically. Playing MP3, WMA, JPEG and audio CD discs This player can play back MP3, WMA, and JPEG data which has been recorded on CD-R or CD-RW discs. To produce MP3, WMA, and JPEG discs, you need a Windows computer with CD burner and MP3/WMA/ JPEG encoding software (not supplied). The Apple-HFS-System discs cannot be played. MP3/WMA/JPEG CD disc information Limitations on MP3/WMA/JPEG CD playback • MP3/WMA/JPEG CDs are standardized by ISO9660. File names must include the three-digit extension letters "MP3", "WMA", or "JPEG". • The directory and file names of MP3/WMA/JPEG CDs must correspond to ISO standardized files. • This player can read 2000 files per disc. If one folder has more than 2000 files, it reads up to 2000 files. The remaining files are omitted. • If a CD has both audio tracks and MP3/WMA/JPEG files, only audio tracks are played. • It may take more than one minute for this player to read MP3/WMA/JPEG files, depending on the disc structure.

Playing MP3, WMA, JPEG and audio CD
discs
This player can play back MP3, WMA, and JPEG data which has been
recorded on CD-R or CD-RW discs. To produce MP3, WMA, and JPEG
