EVGA P67 SLI Motherboard Connecting SATA Cables The SATA II connector is used to connect the SATA II device to the motherboard. These connectors support the thin SATA II cables for primary storage devices. The current SATA II interface allows up to 300MB/s data transfer rate. There are five (5) internal SATA connectors on this motherboard. Connection points SATA0 - SATA4 (Black in color), are controlled by the P67 Chipset and operate at a speed up to 300MB/s. There is also a ESATA port on the rear panel which is operated by the P67 Chipset. The onboard ports that are red in color are SATA III ports and operate from the P67 chipset at a transfer rate up to 600MB/s **NOTE: SATA port 4a/b is a single data port, and therefore you can use port A or B but both cannot operate at the same time. Connecting SATA Cables
The SATA II connector is used to connect the SATA II device to the
motherboard. These connectors support the thin SATA II cables for primary
storage devices. The current SATA II interface allows up to 300MB/s data
transfer rate.
There are five (5) internal SATA connectors on this motherboard. Connection
points SATA0 – SATA4 (Black in color), are controlled by the P67 Chipset and
operate at a speed up to 300MB/s.
