Selecting typestyles In SelecType, each button has a function: l ON/OFF LINE selects typestyles. l FORM FEED sets the styles. l LINE FEED turns SelecType off. After turning on SelecType, follow these steps to select a typestyle: 1. Find the typestyle you want in Table 3-1. All of the typestyles listed in the table are available for draft mode. If you are in NLQ mode, only emphasized and elite are available. Table 3-1. SelecType modes 2. Press the ON/OFF LINE button the number of times indicated in the mode column. Be sure that the printer beeps each time you press the ON/OFFLINE button. 3. Press the FORM FEED button to set the typestyle. 4. Press the LINE FEED button to turn SelecType off. The control panel returns to its normal functions, but the printer is off line. 5. Press the ON/OFF LINE button, and you are ready to print. You can combine any of the modes listed in Table 3-1 when you are in draft mode, except for emphasized and condensed. In NLQ, the two available modes (emphasized and elite) may be combined. If you wish to combine two modes, follow steps 1 through 3 above, then return to step 1 and follow the entire sequence (steps 1 through 5). (Do the same thing to combine three modes, but repeat steps 1 through 3 for each of the first two modes you enter.) Always select the lowest mode number first. 3.2 SelecType

Selecting typestyles
In SelecType, each button has a function:
l
ON/OFF LINE
selects typestyles.
l
FORM FEED

l
LINE FEED
turns SelecType off.
After turning on SelecType, follow these steps to select a typestyle:
1. Find the typestyle you want in Table 3-1. All of the typestyles listed
in the table are available for draft mode. If you are in NLQ mode,
only emphasized and elite are available.
