ENGLISH Rear Panel J. IEC POWER CORD SOCKET - Connect the included power cord to a grounded A/C electrical outlet in accordance with the voltage and frequency ratings specified on the rear panel of your amplifier. K. FUSE - Protects the amplifier from electrical faults. Replace a blown fuse only with the type and rating specified on the rear panel of your amplifier. L. POWER SWITCH - Switch to the "ON" position to turn power on to the amplifier. Switch to the "OFF" position to turn power off to the amplifier. M. INTERNAL SPEAKER JACK - Plug-in connection for the 8Ω internal speaker. When using only the internal speaker jack, a speaker impedance load of 8Ω minimum must be used to avoid distortion and damage to the amplifier. ! A speaker must ALWAYS be connected to this jack when POWER is switched "ON" to avoid possible damage to the amplifier. Switch POWER to the "OFF" position while changing speaker connections. N. EXTERNAL SPEAKER JACK - Plug-in connection for an external speaker. This jack is wired in parallel with the INTERNAL SPEAKER jack {M} and affects the total speaker impedance load. Use 8Ω minimum total (two 16Ω speakers = 8Ω total). To connect external speaker cabinets: 1. Switch POWER to the "OFF" position. 2. Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the INTERNAL SPEAKER JACK {M}. 3. Connect one 16Ω external speaker to the INTERNAL SPEAKER jack {M} and another 16Ω external speaker to the EXTERNAL SPEAKER jack {N}. O. FOOT SWITCH JACK - Plug the (included) 2-button foot switch in here. The foot switch enables remote on/off switching of the Reverb and Vibrato effects. P. REVERB JACKS - RCA jacks that route signal to and from the Reverb tank. • TUBE MAINTENANCE • Your new Fender® amplifier comes equipped with the highest quality tubes available, designed and tested for use in the demanding world of musical instrument amplification. In most critical applications, we select Groove Tubes® preamp and performance-matched power tube sets. Please make note of the specific tubes used in each location in your amplifier and write down the information in this manual for your future reference. In particular, please locate and note the rating information on the base of the power tubes. You may find this extremely useful if purchasing a spare set for backup, or when replacing power tubes. If you replace power tube sets with the same rating and type of Groove Tubes, no adjustment should be needed. If you decide to tweak the performance characteristics of your amplifier with a different power tube set, you should have a qualified service technician re-bias your amp to meet the optimum performance specifications for the new tubes. In the future, if you experience any sonic performance issues with your amp, or have further questions concerning the tubes in your amplifier, please contact your Fender dealer or authorized service center.
