In most critical applications, we select Groove Tubes® preamp and performance-matched power tube sets. Please make note of the specific tubes used in each location in your amplifier and write down the information in this manual for your future reference. In particular, please locate and note the rating information on the base of the power tubes. You may find this extremely useful if purchasing a spare set for backup, or when replacing power tubes. If you replace power tube sets with the same rating and type of Groove Tubes, no adjustment should be needed. If you decide to tweak the performance characteristics of your amplifier with a different power tube set, you should have a qualified service technician re-bias your amp to meet the optimum performance specifications for the new tubes. In the future, if you experience any sonic performance issues with your amp, or have further questions concerning the tubes in your amplifier, please contact your Fender dealer or authorized service center.
