Operating Instructions Removing Collected Water (continued) NOTE: 1. Screw the hose onto the drainage connector of the unit directly or through the drainage adapter, continuous drainage option will automatically start. 2. Check the seal between the hose and the drainage adapter. If there is a small leak then replace the hose gasket and re-tighten the hose. 3. It is recommended that a Dehumidifier Drain Hose - 11/16" (17.5 mm) or larger be used. 4. When applying continuous drainage option, place dehumidifier on a horizontal surface and make sure garden hose is clear of any obstructions and directed downward. Improper installation or use of hose may result in water filling up the bucket and causing the unit to shut off. Empty water bucket if shut-off occurs, then check dehumidifier location and hose for proper installation.(fig.10) 5. To quit continuous drainage option and collect water using the bucket, you need to remove the garden hose and take out draingage joint to avoid leakage, then put the drain cover back. 6. If bucket fills after a long period of continuous use, remove and check hose for blockage by dirt. fig. 10 3. Pump function: a. Press the tightening ring of drainage joint, and then pull out the plug in the joint. (fig.11) b. Insert the drain hose onto the drainage joint, make sure is connected well so that it is fully seated. (fig.12&13) c. Place the other end of the drain hose in the location you want the water to go to a floor drain, a water container, or through a basement window to the outdoors. fig. 11 fig. 12 fig. 13 NOTE: 1. The maximum distance and the rise may be 5m from the unit. Exceeding this distance may damage the unit or cause leaks. 2. If removing the hose to use in Bucket mode, please reinsert the drain plug to prevent accidental water leakage.
