GPS Tab Options The GPS tab features an options page that provides access to functions and features relating to the GPS Info Page. To show and select the GPS Tab options: 1. Press MENU. 2. Using the ROCKER, highlight an option, and press ENTER. NOTE: If a DGPS receiver is attached to the unit and Garmin DGPS, RTCM In/NMEA Out, or Other DGPS is enabled on Port 2, WAAS is automatically disabled (WAAS Off). It is not possible for the GPSMAP 198C Sounder to receive WAAS and DGPS corrections at the same time. MAIN MENU > TIDE TAB Tide Tab The Tide tab shows a graphical chart that shows tide station information in a 24 hour span starting at midnight station time. You can choose from different dates and more than 3,000 tide stations. Station Name Date Tide Chart Event Times GPS Tab Options GPSMAP 198C Sounder Owner's Manual Tide Tab The top of the page shows the tide station being referenced, below that the date. The top of the chart shows a 24-hour block of local time (LCL) for your location, with the reported station time (STA) appearing at the bottom. Daytime (light bar) and nighttime (dark bar) show across the time scale, with the time progressing from left to right. (Local time scales and sunrise/sunset info can not be available for a few stations). The solid, light vertical lines are 43
