Searching for an Airport The Find Aviation feature allows you to search for airports provided in the Jeppesen database in your GPSMAP 96/96C. To find an airport: (Aviation mode) 1. Press DIRECT TO D when in Aviation Mode to show the Find Menu, select the Aviation icon, then press ENTER or press DIRECT TO when in Aviation Mode to show the Aviation Go To Page. Basic Operation > 2. The Aviation Go To Page shows the first airport on the database list of airports, its location, communication frequencies, elevation, type of fuel available, and the direction and distance from your current location. Find More... takes you to the Find Menu with references near your current location. Options Menu Find Near Here - takes you to lists of map items near the airport identified by the Aviation Go To Page. Add To Route - list of current saved routes. Select one or create a new route. Aviation Go To Page 3. To search for a specific airport, highlight the airport field, and use the ROCKER to enter the identification letters of the airport. Then press ENTER to highlight the Go To button. 4. Press ENTER to create a direct route to the airport from your current location or QUIT to exit the page. 96/96C Owner's Manual 43
