Charging the nüvi • Place the nüvi in the suction mount, connect the vehicle power cable to the cradle, and then connect the cable to a power outlet in your vehicle. • Connect the USB cable to the nüvi and your computer. • Connect the AC adapter to the nüvi and a wall outlet. Acquiring Satellites 1. Go outdoors to an open area, away from tall buildings and trees. 2. Flip up the GPS antenna. 3. Turn on the nüvi. Acquiring satellite signals can take a few minutes. The bars indicate satellite strength. When the bars are green, the nüvi has acquired satellite signals. Menu Page A D B E C F G A Touch to find a destination. B Touch to view the map. G Touch to view MSN Direct content, when connected to the MSN Direct Receiver and when you are in a coverage area. To activate your MSN Direct service, go to http://garmin.msndirect.com/activate. See the owner's manual for more information. Finding Your Destination 1. On the Menu page, touch Where to. 2. Touch your destination. 3. Touch Go. Saving Your Current Location 1. On the Map page, touch . 2. Touch Save. The place is saved in Favorites. Adding a Stop to Your Route 1. When navigating a route, touch Where to on the Menu page. 2. Touch your destination. 3. Touch Go. Listening to the nüvi on Your Vehicle's FM Stereo 1. On the Menu page, touch > Audio Output > FM Transmitter > OK. 2. Tune your stereo to an FM channel. 3. Touch the button beneath Frequency Adjust. Select the same frequency to which your stereo is tuned.

Turning the nüvi On or Off
Press and hold the
Power
button on the top
of the nüvi.
Charging the nüvi
Place the nüvi in the suction mount,
connect the vehicle power cable to the
cradle, and then connect the cable to a
power outlet in your vehicle.
Connect the USB cable to the nüvi and
your computer.
Connect the AC adapter to the nüvi and a
wall outlet.
Acquiring Satellites
1. Go outdoors to an open area, away from
tall buildings and trees.
2. Flip up the GPS antenna.
3. Turn on the nüvi. Acquiring satellite
signals can take a few minutes.
The
bars indicate satellite strength.
When the bars are green, the nüvi has
acquired satellite signals.
