Thanks. NOTE: The maximum recording time for the outgoing announcement is 2 minutes. Reviewing and Choosing the Announcement Press and release the announce 1 or announce 2 button to review and select this one as your outgoing announcement. NOTE: Press the play/stop button at any time to stop playing the announcement. Programming the Telephone Standby Screen The handset displays the handset number and user name. Programming Functions The system uses a menu structure to give you access to all of the built-in features. You may program the following items in main menu: Keylock, Room Monitor, Answerer Msg., and Handset Setup. JOHN SMITH HANDSET 1 Keylock The keylock feature, helps prevent unauthorized or accidental use of your device by disabling outbound calls. The device will still be able to receive phone calls and place emergency calls to 9-1-1. 1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode). 2. Press the menu ok/mute button to go to the main menu. 3. Press the vol/CID ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to KEYLOCK. 4. Press the menu ok/mute button to enter the menu, SET KEYLOCK 1YES 2NO shows in the display. The default setting is 2NO. 5. Use the touch-tone pad to select 1 for YES or 2 for NO. Or use the vol/CID ( 6 or 5) button to scroll to 1YES or 2NO. 6. Press the menu ok/mute button to confirm. 14
