Replacing the light bulbs. Turning the control to the 0 (off) position does not remove power to the light circuit. Refrigerator Lights (on some models) CAUTION: Light bulbs may be hot. Unplug the refrigerator. To remove the light shield, grasp the shield at the back and pull out to release the tabs at the back. Rotate the shield down and then forward to release the tabs at the front of the shield. After replacing with an appliance bulb of the same or lower wattage, replace the shield. Plug the refrigerator back in. NOTE: Appliance bulbs may be ordered from GE Parts and Accessories, 800.626.2002. LED Refrigerator Lights (on some models) An authorized technician will need to replace the LED light. Light Shield Appearance may vary 15 Refrigerator Compartment (on some models) There is an LED lighting display in the top and sides of the fresh food compartment and in the rear and side of the freezer compartment on some models. If this assembly needs to be replaced, call GE Service at 1.800.432.2737 in the United States or 1.800.561.3344 in Canada. Freezer Light (on some models) CAUTION: Light bulbs may be hot. Unplug the refrigerator. Remove the freezer basket for access. The bulb is located at the rear of the freezer inside a light shield. To remove, grasp the shield at the top and pull out to release the tabs at the bottom. After replacing with an appliance bulb of the same or lower wattage, replace the shield and freezer basket. Plug the refrigerator back in.

Refrigerator Lights
(on some models)
CAUTION:
Light bulbs may
be hot.
Unplug the refrigerator.
To remove the light shield, grasp the
shield at the back and pull out to release
the tabs at the back.
Rotate the shield down and then forward
to release the tabs at the front of the
shield.
After replacing with an appliance bulb of
the same or lower wattage, replace the
shield.
Plug the refrigerator back in.
NOTE:
Appliance bulbs may be ordered from
GE Parts and Accessories, 800.626.2002.
Freezer Light (on some models)
Replacing the light bulbs.
Turning the control to the
