Problem Dryer won't operate Clg in display window Possible Cause Control panel is asleep Dryer is unplugged Controls are not set properly Fuse is blown/circuit breaker is tripped Electronics need to be reset START was not pressed after a cycle was set Door was opened during the dry cycle Dryer is too cold Exhaust duct blocked What To Do • This is normal. Press POWER. • Make sure cord is plugged securely into a working outlet. • Make sure the cycle was set correctly, close the lid and press START. • Check house circuit breakers/fuses. Replace fuses or reset breaker. NOTE: Electric dryers use two fuses or breakers. • Unplug dryer, wait 2 minutes, plug back in and press POWER. • Press START. • Close the door and reset cycle, to the beginning if necessary. Press START. • If the dryer has been exposed to temperatures below freezing for an extended period of time, allow it to warm up before pressing POWER. Otherwise, the display will not come on. • Check all of your exhaust ducting including transition ducts, wall caps and around turns. Contact a qualified service provider if necessary. Normal Operating Sounds The following are normal sounds you may hear: Sound Description Thumping noise when drum rotates • If the dryer has not been used for an extended period of time, you may hear a thumping noise from temporary flat spots on the drum support rollers.
