22 Quick Start Guide 10. Get Your Messages Across Keep in touch with the important people in your life. Sending text messages Send short text messages (SMS) to other mobile phones. If you exceed the limit on the number of characters for a single text message, your text message will be delivered as one but will be billed as more than one message. 1. On the Home screen, slide to the Messages tab and then tap the New Message icon ( ) on the upper right side of the screen. 2. In the To field, enter the recipient's mobile phone number. You can also enter the first few letters of the recipient's name to display a matching list of names from your stored contacts, and then tap the recipient's mobile phone number to which you want to send your message. 3. Tap the text box that shows "Tap to compose text", and then enter your message. 4. When you have finished composing your text message, tap Send. Sending multimedia messages Send multimedia messages (MMS) that include photos, videos, or audio clips. 1. On the Home screen, slide to the Messages tab and then tap the New Message icon ( ) on the upper right side of the screen. 2. Messages
tab
and then tap the
New Message
