 Quick Start Guide 4. Get Started Press the END/POWER button to turn on your phone. When you turn on your phone for the first time: • If you did not insert your SIM card and you turned on your phone for the first time, your phone displays a tutorial showing how to install the SIM card and battery. Turn off your phone, insert your SIM card, and reinsert the battery before proceeding to use the phone. • Your phone automatically sets up GPRS/3G, MMS, and WAP connections based on your SIM card. • Your phone walks you through a tutorial on how to use the onscreen keyboard. Follow through the tutorial to learn how to use the onscreen keyboard. • Your phone guides you to connect to a Wi-Fi network, if available, and lets you set up your email accounts and favorite social networks such as Facebook®, YouTube™, and Twitter™. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up and log into your accounts, or you can skip the setup and do it at another time. • Some phone features such as Weather and Footprints require Google's location service to automatically determine your current location. You can choose whether to allow Google's location service to collect information about your location. • Your phone attempts to auto detect your time zone and set the time automatically. Set your local time if auto detection is unsuccessful. • When your phone displays the Web address from which the PC synchronization software can be downloaded, note down the Web address so you can download and install it on your computer.

Press the END/POWER button to turn on your phone.
When you turn on your phone for the first time:
