Defrosting and extended operation cessation Defrosting After a period of operation, a layer of frost will form on the evaporator in the freezer compartment and additional electricity will be consumed. When thickness reaches 5mm, the frost must be removed. Extended operation cessation If the freezer is to be ceased for an extended period, unplug the freezer, and then clean and dry the freezer. Set the thermostat to the position for the coldest temperature before defrosting. Before the defrosting process is started, disconnect the power supply and empty the freezer. A Warning Never use electric, metal or sharp tools to remove the frosts in the freezer. Place a water container under the water pipe, pull the water pipe out for 20mm to 30mm, turn the water pipe to make the symbol " A " upside down to " V ", and then remove the plug of the water drain. Do not cease the freezer unless it is necessary to extend service life of the freezer. After defrosting, dry the freezer with cloth, plug the water drain duct, turn the water pipe to make the symbol upward " A ", load the freezer after the freezer is connected to the power source and set the thermostat properly 12 hours thereafter. Never use the freezer in rain. A bowl of hot water (below 50°C) can be placed on the evaporator to accelerate the defrosting process. 10 Safety precautions c -• Failure in operation and damage to A dedicated earthed socket is the control panel, thermostat or the required. compressor will occur if voltage is outside the range unless a regulator with a capacity of over 1000W or higher is installed. 0 0 Care for external cable • Hold the plug, not the electric cable, when unplugging the freezer. • Ensure that the electric cable is not trapped by the freezer. Do not step on the cable. • Avoid damage to the electric cable when moving the freezer. Damaged electric cable When the electrical cable is damaged or worn, turn off the freezer and consult to an authorized service agent for replacement. 0 0 Inflammable gas leakage in the vicinity of the freezer • Turn off any leaking valve; • Open the doors and windows; • Do not, under any circumstances, unplug electrical appliances in the vicinity of the leak.
