How to Make Iced Tea 1 2 3 4 Add 3 Tablespoons (45 ml) of loose tea or up to 5 tea bags. (2 tea bags are recommended.) Do not fill past MAX fill line. Place tea bags flat in filter basket. 5 Fill a 16-oz. hot- and cold-safe container with ice no more than 3/4 full. Place under filter basket to brew directly into container. 4 6 7 Fill water reservoir with up to 8 oz. of water. Be sure the amount of water you add will not overflow the container into which you are brewing, even with ice in it. Press ON (I) button. The button will light up when brewing starts and will go out when brewing is complete. NOTE: Do not move container until dripping has stopped.
