So power cord should be removed from AC outlet when not in use for a prolonged time. AC Voltage Selector This receiver is supplied with a voltage selector enabling selection between 230V and 240V on the rear panel. If the selector is not set to the local voltage. set the selector to the correct voltage with a screwdriver before connecting the powr cord to a mains outlet. Connecting Speakers 1. For best performance, use high quality speaker cables. However, ordinary copper wire can be used if the gauge meets the following requirements: Wire Length Gauge Up to 2m (8 feet) 18 AWG Up to 4m (12 feet) 16 AWG Up to 7m (20 feet) 14 AWG Over 7m (20 feet) 10-12 AWG custom speaker cable 2. Avoid coiling excess wire with or near line level hook-up cords. 3. Note the difference between the two conductors in each cable: different colored insulation, ridged insulation, or colored yarn. Connect the right-hand speaker to the receiver, being careful to connect the positive terminal on the speaker to the terminal marked "Right" on the receiver, and the negative or ground terminal on the speaker to the corresponding "GND" terminal on the receiver. 4. Connect terminals on the left-hand speaker to the "Left" and corresponding "GND" terminals on the receiver, again being careful to maintain correct polarity. 5. If you are using a second set of speakers, connect them in the same way to the terminals marked "Speaker System 2." 5 RIGHT SPEAKER SYSTEM 1 GND GND LEFT O SPEAKER SYSTEM 2 RIGHT GND GND LEFT CAUTION SPEAKER IMPEDANCE ATTENTION IMPEDANCE DES HAST-PARLEURS
