Maintenance: Winterize HydraPure Step 1 Step 2 Turn off/unplug all power to the HydraPure and all other pool equipment. Make sure the pump will not re-activate. Step 3 Remove the winterizing drain plug near the bottom of the unit. There will be an initial rush of water once plug is removed. Step 4 Allow unit to completely drain. This process can take up to two (2) minutes. 28 Once vessel is drained, re-install the drain plug hand tight only. Do NOT lose the plug O-ring.
