PROBLEM 4. The walking belt is off-center or slips when walked on SOLUTION a. If the walking belt has shifted to the a left, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt clockwise, and the right bolt counter- clockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered. b. If the walking belt has shifted to the b right, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn the left rear roller adjustment bolt counterclockwise, and the right bolt clockwise, 1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to overtighten the walking belt. Plug in the power cord, insert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is centered. c. If the walking belt slips when walked c on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift the edges of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, in- sert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. 5. The displays of the console do not function properly a. Remove the key from the console and UN- PLUG THE POWER CORD. Next, remove 1/8" the screws from the hood and carefully re- move the hood. Locate the Reed Switch 20 28 (26) and the Magnet (85) on the left side of 26 85 the Pulley (28). Turn the Pulley until the Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch. Make sure that the gap between the Top View Magnet and the Reed Switch is about 1/8". If necessary, loosen the Reed Switch Screw (20) and move the Reed Switch slightly. Retighten the Screw. Re-attach the hood and run the treadmill for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading. 6. Bubbles form in the walking belt a. Due to variations in humidity and temperature, there is a possibility that bubbles may form in the walking belt. Although the bubbles will disappear with time, you may unplug the power cord, carefully insert a needle into the bubbles, and push the air out of the bubbles. 26

wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment
bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the
walking belt is correctly tightened, you
should be able to lift
the edges
of the
walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking
platform. Be careful to keep the walking
belt centered. Plug in the power cord, in-
sert the key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt
is properly tightened.
a. Remove the key from the console and
UN-
PLUG THE POWER CORD.
Next, remove
the screws from the hood and carefully re-
move the hood. Locate the Reed Switch
(26) and the Magnet (85) on the left side of
the Pulley (28). Turn the Pulley until the
Magnet is aligned with the Reed Switch.
Make sure that the gap between the
Magnet and the Reed Switch is about
1/8”.
If necessary, loosen the Reed Switch
Screw (20) and move the Reed Switch slightly. Retighten the Screw. Re-attach the
hood and run the treadmill for a few minutes to check for a correct speed reading.
