Note The gray shaded areas in these tables denote printer control code areas. Math composite characters are shown with light-colored shades, and line-draw composite characters are shown with dark-colored shades. Composite characters are made by combining individual character elements into a large character. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) symbol sets and the HP German and HP Spanish symbol sets are represented by a character substitution table (see page B-19). The final table, the Roman-8 Character Conversion table identifies the hexadecimal, decimal, and octal codes for the Roman-8 symbol set.
