USB board Description USB board (includes cable) Spare part number 686269-001 Before removing the USB board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 35), and then remove the following components: a. Memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see Memory module on page 36) b. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 39) c. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 45) d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 49) Remove the USB board: 1. Release the ZIF connector to which the USB board cable is connected, and then disconnect the USB board cable (1) from the system board. 2. Before removing the USB board, follow these steps:

1.
Release the ZIF connector to which the USB board cable is connected, and then disconnect
the USB board cable

from the system board.

Remove the Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screw

that secures the USB board to the base enclosure.
