The print cartridge box and the electronic quick help manual, contain installation instructions. When you replace a print cartridge, verify that you have the correct part number: • Black-HP 15 (HP C6615D) • Tri-color-HP 17 (HP C6625A) printer cables A printer cable is not included in the box. Purchase a USB-compliant interface cable which is used with both Macintosh systems and Windows 98, Me, and 2000 systems software updates Printer software, also called the printer driver, communicates your print requests to the printer. Use either of the following methods to obtain copies and updates of the printer software: • Download the printer software from HP's Website. • Phone HP Customer Care to request a CD containing the software update files. When you replace a print cartridge, do not touch the print cartridge ink nozzles or copper contacts. Touching these parts will result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections. In addition, do not remove the copper strips. They are required electrical contacts. 2
