NOTE: Only one selection can be made for each control. Table 2-5 Print Modes section controls Control Description/Option Fusing The fuser temperature control in the engine is a complex algorithm that is based on the print mode and print-duty cycle. An "increase" or "decrease" in fuser temperature means that the fuser control algorithm increases or decreases the current temperature target by some amount, which depends on paper type and other factors. The following settings are available for the Fusing control: ● No adjustment. ● Paper curl-up and Paper curl-down. These settings change the optimum fusing temperature to 1/2 speed for light and rough paper (such as Neenah Bond 16 lb.) and can help prevent paper curl and poor fixing performance for these kinds of paper. ● Flap sealing. ● Less Fusing/More Fusing (-2, -1, +1, +2). These settings allow the user to adjust the fuser temperature up or down one level. Use this setting to find the best balance for the print job when other adjustments are insufficient.
