Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 25). Remove the system board: 1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the display panel cable is attached, and then disconnect the display panel cable from the system board. 3. Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables (3) from the WLAN terminals on the system board. NOTE: The white WLAN antenna cable labeled "1/Main" connects to the system board "Main" terminal. The black WLAN antenna cable labeled "2/Aux" connects to the system board "Aux" terminal. 4. Disconnect the power connector cable (4) from the system board. Component replacement procedures 35

Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4.
Remove the keyboard/top cover (see

25
).
Remove the system board:
1.
Disconnect the speaker cable

from the system board.
2.
Release the ZIF connector
(2)
to which the display panel cable is attached, and then disconnect the
display panel cable from the system board.
3.
Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables
(3)
from the WLAN terminals on the system board.
NOTE:
The white WLAN antenna cable labeled “1/Main” connects to the system board “Main” terminal.
The black WLAN antenna cable labeled “2/Aux” connects to the system board “Aux” terminal.
4.
Disconnect the power connector cable
(4)
from the system board.
