Computer Setup (F10) Utility Guide Computer Setup (Continued) Heading Option Description Advanced* (continued) Device Options (continued) *These options should be used by advanced users only. Allows you to set: • ACPI S3 Hard Disk Reset (enable/disable). Resets the hard disk on a boot from the S3 sleep state. • ACPI S3 PS2 Mouse Wakeup (enable/disable). Allows the mouse to wake the system from the S3 sleep state. • Integrated video (enable/disable). • AGP Aperture Size (options vary by platform). Allows you to specify the amount of system memory reserved for use by your graphics controller. • Frame Buffer Size. Selections are auto (default), 8MB (min), 16MB, or 32MB (max). Auto selects the framebuffer size according to the amount of installed memory. If there is 128MB memory installed (or less) then the framebuffer size is 16MB. If more than 128MB is installed the framebuffer size is 32MB (max size). Note that as the size of the framebuffer increases, the amount of system memory available to the OS decreases. The framebuffer is not used when an external AGP is installed or when the integrated video is disabled (example: external PCI video card is installed) so the framebuffer size in F10 does not apply in those cases but you will still be able to see the options. • Monitor Tracking (enable/disable). Allows ROM to save monitor asset information. • S2K Halt Disconnect (enable/disable). Support for Computer Setup options may vary depending on your specific hardware configuration.
