Left speaker/subwoofer Description Speaker Kit (includes left speaker/subwoofer and right speaker) Spare part number 727513-001 The computer includes two separate speakers - a speaker on the right side, and a speaker/subwoofer on the left side. You must remove the system board to remove the right speaker. You do not have to remove the system board to remove the left speaker/subwoofer. You do have to remove the RJ-45 module cover to remove the left speaker/subwoofer. Before removing the left speaker, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the service cover (see Service cover on page 37). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 39). 6. Remove the RJ-45 module cover (see RJ-45 module cover on page 49). Remove the left speaker/subwoofer: 1. Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.5×5.5 screws that secure the left display hinge to the computer, and then rotate the hinge upward (2). 2. on the left side. You must remove the system board to remove the right speaker. You do not have to
remove the system board to remove the left speaker/subwoofer. You do have to remove the RJ-45
module cover to remove the left speaker/subwoofer.
Before removing the left speaker, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
