Toner Safety Toner is composed of plastic, iron, and a small amount of pigment. If toner gets on your clothes, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash the clothes in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric. Take care to avoid breathing toner particles. Toner tends to break down vinyl materials, so avoid contact with vinyl. A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the toner cartridge used in the HP LaserJet IIISV4Si printers is available through Hewlett-Packard. By Mail. To obtain a MSDS for the 92291A LaserJet Toner Cartridge through the mail, call the Customer Information Center (CIC) at 800-752-0900 between 6 A.M. and 5 P.M. Pacific Standard Time. By Fax. To obtain a MSDS for the 92291A LaserJet Toner Cartridge by fax, call the HP FIRST number at 800-333-1917 and enter document number 1407.
